Stepwise Cane™: How to Use It

When you take The Stepwise Cane™ out of its packaging, it is set at the lowest height setting.

To adjust the height, press the button and slide the Stepwise Cane™ to your desired height, keeping the handle near your wrist level when placed at your side.

Then simply tighten the cane lock into place and you’re ready to start your journey to improved balance and mobility.

 

Intended Use and Limitations

  • This product is not intended to bear a user’s full weight
  • The user weight limit for the Stepwise Cane™ is 250 pounds (113 kilograms).
  • It is not meant to be used on ice or slippery surfaces.
  • Do not attempt to rotate or remove the circular base of the Stepwise Cane™. It is fully adhered using a medical and aviation grade epoxy and is precisely oriented to its proper position for safety and mobility.
Stepwise Cane™ provide a full warranty against defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser of our Product for the lifetime of the product. If your Stepwise Cane™ fails due to a material or manufacturing defect we will repair it, or replace it at our sole discretion, without charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, negligence, accident, abuse, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use. Only original, unaltered and unmodified Products are covered by this policy. The Stepwise Cane™ warranty is available only to the original purchaser, for the lifetime of the product and Stepwise Cane™ may require proof of purchase at the time of a warranty claim. With the exception of this express warranty, all Stepwise Cane™ Products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Stepwise Cane™ and its parents, subsidiaries, partners, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, (collectively, the “Stepwise Cane™ parties”) disclaim all implied warranties, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular.     I apologize for the delay, but I've been recovering from quite the journey. A cane I had ordered on another site was to be delayed a week so I searched the internet one more time just as stepwise went live. They shipped immediately and I was off taking trains and buses and hauling luggage across several states. The fact that no matter what angle you use, you can push off of it, is what's remarkable. I've shortened it all the way to get up off the floor while on an 18 hour layover. I've extended it to keep me on balance due to an asymmetry in my frame. My weight is higher than recommended and I have not once felt unstable using this cane. If I could improve anything would be to have a push button in the handle to adjust the height and maybe one day option to customize the handle, color, just purchase the foot to put on a natural wood cane or staff. Yesterday I ventured out without my stepwise cane and I deeply regret it today. I'm even interested in getting a second one instead of a rollator because I can lean against the two if I need to take my weight off for a moment. I adore innovation and look forward to everything else you have to offer in the future. Blessed to have been one of the first. Much love. Mel

    This is the best cane on the market. I have two now. One for my home and one when I go out. tI feel very safe with this cane because it helps with my balance more than any other cane I have used.

    I have recommended the Stepwise cane to all my friends and relatives because I feel very secure when using it whether inside my home or outside on the street. It seems to help with my balance more than any other cane I have used. I highly recommend this cane to everyone. Thank you for inventing it.

    Pressure relief cane

    We like it. I especially like that it absorbs the pressure that transfers to the hand and wrist when the end hits the ground. My mom's doctor was really interested when he saw it.

    The Stepwise cane is fantastic! I am new to cane use and this was so easy to use. It has more of a rocking motion that makes me feel like it’s more of a natural way to walk.
